Not Putting Chemicals on My Face

Organic, natural and cruelty free are all words cosmetic companies use to try to lure you into thinking what you’re putting on your face is good for you. The truth is, many of these companies have tricky loopholes that allow them to put words like natural and cruelty free on their packaging without really meaning it.

While this has been a big concern of mine ever since becoming a vegetarian, cleaning out my toxin and animal-cruelty filled makeup drawer has been pushed to the end of my never ending to-do list.

I know that half the stuff I put on my face is filled with tons of bad ingredients, but who has the time to sit and look for a perfectly clean cosmetics company?

Lucky for me, I was introduced to Mineral Fusion Cosmetics at a Sprout’s sponsored event called Contouring and Cocktails.

I have a love-hate relationship with makeup brands that claim to be all natural, because the quality is usually not the best compared to my toxin filled products. Needless to say, I was a skeptic of the brand’s quality to begin with.

Mineral Fusion is made with only the purest products, Environmental Working Group verified and certifiably cruelty free. Would the quality of the products turn me from natural makeup hater to devotee?

To save you time and anxiety, I’ll tell you that in all honesty I was impressed with the quality of the products I got to try and will be looking to purchase more items from this company.

Below is a list of the products I tried and the look I achieved with them:
